If the person who is carrying the ball for the team on offense is tackled when in their own end zone, then the defensive team scores two points. In addition, the team that was on offense must kick the ball to the team that was on defense.
So, not only does the other team score points, but you have to give them the ball as well. Bummer.

You have to have the offensive team come out of the end zone and step back in, then a defensive player has to sack/tackle him in the end zone. Then the Defensive team will be rewarded with 2 points. If someone from a punt or kick return that catches it in the end zone without him coming out, taking a knee would but him at the 20 yard line.
